At The Cottage Hotel, we take pride in serving delightful cream teas and simple afternoon teas, a quintessential part of the Devonshire experience. Whether you're relaxing in the lounge, enjoying the fresh sea air on the terrace, or taking in the breathtaking views of Hope Cove from the bar, our tea offerings are a perfect treat any time of day, but especially on a warm summer afternoon.
Our traditional Devon cream teas are served with freshly baked scones, light and fluffy, accompanied by rich clotted cream and tasty strawberry jam. Paired with a pot of your favourite tea, this indulgent experience is best savoured slowly, as you gaze out at the stunning coastal views. For those seeking a little more, our simple afternoon teas offer an assortment of thick cut sandwiches, scones and home-made cakes.

The Cottage Hotel has a long history of fine wines, and we are building on that history with our carefully curated collection.
We have selected our wines to reflect a broad taste, including classic and new world, with a few surprises on the way. There are no rules to our list, just new adventures and journeys to go on.

Good morning! Let us bring you some Coffee or Tea.
Help yourself to our cold buffet, featuring juices, stewed fruits, fresh melon, cereals and yoghurt.
Afterwards, enjoy your pick from the Hot Buffet, or treat yourself to something from the kitchen, before tucking into toast and preserves.
Lunch Menu
Fancy a light bite? Sandwiches,’ salads and hot choices for you to choose from and enjoy. Available Monday to Saturday until 2pm.
Treat yourself to our rustic afternoon tea with a view across Hope Cove. Good Honest baking is what we do. Available to book (24 hours ahead).
Sunday Lunch Menu
Join us for a Traditional Sunday Lunch in South Devon, served every week from 12.30pm.
Our Table d'hôte Sunday Lunch Menu changes weekly, offering excellent variety and exceptional value.
Non‑residents are most welcome, though we kindly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Please note that tables of 10 guests or more are required to pre‑order and pay in full ahead of the booking date.
Two courses: £29.50 per person
Three courses: £34.50 per person
Prices include Fresh Filter Coffee or English Breakfast Tea, served with a Chocolate Mint.
