Join us for dinner, every evening from 7pm. We offer a selection of Table d'Hôte menus that change every day to give our guests variety and great value for money on our Dinner, Bed & Breakfast tariff.
Our restaurant is often full so please book a table. If you aren’t able to book ahead we’ll always try our best to accommodate you. To book a table please call 01548 561 555.

Breakfast
Start your day at our cold buffet with a choice of seasonal melon,stewed fruits, yoghurt, cereals, freshly brewed coffee, teas, toast, preserves and juices,
Thereafter enjoy items from the hot buffet which include back bacon, eggs cooked to your liking, sausages, grilled tomatoes and much more besides.
Afternoons on the Terrace
Enjoy spectacular views and spellbinding sunsets on our terrace overlooking Hope Cove.
Drinks, lunch and afternoon tea available. If the sunset is particularly good, alfresco evening dining is available but is subject to a supplementary cover charge of £6.00 per person.
Sandwiches & Lighter Lunch
We offer a range of sandwiches and lighter lunches from our restaurant & bar menus.
Available in our lounges or on the terrace throughout the day until 6pm.
Afternoon Tea
Is there a finer way to pass a sunny afternoon?
Indulge in a Devonshire Cream Tea or our simple and tasty Afternoon Tea experience on the terrace overlooking Hope Cove. Cream Teas are available any time, however, please book Afternoon Tea 24 hours in advance.
All freshly prepared by our kitchen brigade, our daily tea service is a real treat.
The Lobster Pod
Come rain or shine, The Lobster Pod Bistro promises an unforgettable dining experience, showcasing the finest selection of local seafood and lobster and boasting breathtaking surroundings.
The Lobster Pod is situated immediately below The Cottage Hotel and is a quirky seafood dining experience that complements the hotel's main restaurant.
Best Restaurant in Devon With Sea View
On a summer's evening, you simply cannot beat the stunning views of hope cove offered by this popular venue. Diners can enjoy a delicious meal overlooking on of the UK's most beautiful seaside locations. If you come to breakfast you'll witness the cool sunrise as it lights the beach from behind the hotel. If you come to lunch, you could be served extra helpings of sunshine on the terrace with uninterrupted views of Hope Cove's golden sands.
However, if you come to dinner, every night (weather depending) the sunset over hope cove is simply extraordinary.

Diners are promised a warm welcoming atmosphere when you arrive where nothing is too much trouble. We pride ourselves on offering traditional quality service as you dine from the moment you arrive through to your next visit. Please speak to a member of waiting staff if you have any questions about your meal.
Dinner Menus
We operate nine daily dinner menus with a good selection of quality food including fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan options all with table service. For younger diners we can also offer simpler dishes of burgers, chips and other child friendly options.
Our menus can all be read on our website here together with our drinks and bar menus. Many of our evening menus offer the opportunity to order special items such as lobster. Lobster at Hope Cove is particularly tasty and we are well known for our sister restaurant the Lobster pod bistro which is next door to the hotel. This bistro style restaurant offers more informal food with a focus on fish and lobster.
If you would like to order lobster to be served at dinner please speak to us in advance, giving at least 24 hours notice.
Dog Friendly Hotel
The Cottage Hotel is a dog friendly hotel and we welcome dogs in our bar and lounge areas. Unfortunately we are unable to welcome dogs into our restaurant. Thank you for understanding.
