Within the beautiful Teign valley lies Canonteign falls, just over an hour up the A38 from the Cottage Hotel in Hope Cove.
The Canonteign Falls are England's highest waterfall. The falls are a wonderful place to see in South Devon, descending 220 feet/67 metres; they were created in 1890. You can also climb the Victorian steps upwards through the Secret Garden and Fern Garden, to reach the top of Lady Exmouth Falls. Then you can enjoy the most wonderful view across South Devon and Dartmoor.
The Lakes are well established – you can see traditional English wetland vegetation and exotic water plants. It is a heaven for wildlife. The path walks in Devon and Dartmoor Countryside are suitable for all ages and abilities, where you can spend an amazing day out.
